Samento from Nutramedix is an herbal supplement and liquid extract that contains compounds that seek to support a normal inflammation response in a healthy immune system, have anti-microbial properties, support cognition and the central nervous system during normal aging, and provide antioxidant support. Nutramedix has formulated Samento with pentacyclic oxindole alkaloids (POAs) from the bark of the Uncaria tomentosa species of cat's claw plant. POAs are a chemotype found in cat's claw species of plants that research suggests may provide optimal medicinal support by promoting a healthy immune system response in the body.

This formula does not contain tetracyclic oxindole alkaloids (TOAs), which are found in some cat's claw plants. Some practitioners suggest avoiding TOAs when taking cat's claw supplements.
